  • Architected an event-driven backtesting platform on AWS Lambda and SQS that runs 800+ concurrent Python jobs with zero production failures. Built the failure handling in: a dead-letter queue with redrive, idempotent PostgreSQL writes with retry and backoff, and idempotent credit refunds.
  • Lead a team of 5 engineers through sprint planning, code reviews, and a strict unit and integration testing culture.
  • Built a test suite across the full testing pyramid, creating quality gates that let the team ship faster without losing code quality.
  • Built the interactive backtest chart in Next.js and TypeScript on TradingView Lightweight Charts: trade entry/exit markers, indicator panes, win/loss filters, and data lazy-loaded as you pan. (The chart at the top of this page is a nod to it.)
  • Designed a slippage model that makes backtests more realistic and trading costs more accurate.
  • Led development of multi-position scaling, enabling advanced position sizing strategies.
  • Own third-party API integrations end to end, including an event-driven Slack gateway that routes authenticated events, enforces scoped permissions, and handles bot-to-bot messages in production.
